Which Fitzpatrick Types are appropriate candidates for CryoCorrect Treatment(s)?
This device has been tested on Fitzpatrick Types I – III. For Fitzpatrick Types IV-VI a patch test in an inconspicuous area may needed. Each patient should be individually evaluated by medical personnel via a complete medical consultation to determine if they are appropriate candidates for treatment.
How long does it take to perform a CryoCorrect Treatment?
Each freezing cycle lasts between 5-8 seconds in which the cosmetic lesion is quickly frozen. Typically, two freezing cycles per treatment are recommended.
What can the patient expect after a CryoCorrect Treatment?
When the cosmetic lesion is quickly frozen, the skin will turn a dark color. This dark color may last between 3-5 days before a scab forms. The scab may remain between 2 – 3 weeks after which the scab will slough off and normal healthy skin will appear. In some cases, the healing process can vary between 4-6 weeks.
When should a CryoCorrect Treatment be performed?
The CryoCorrect Treatment is ideal as a stand-alone or be can be used in conjunction with a series of facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, or laser treatments.
Why is carbon dioxide (CO2) an ideal form of cryotherapy?
The CryoCorrect PRECISION™ device treats each cosmetic lesion with a precise flow of carbon dioxide (CO2) which has been proven to freeze the skin at a mild temperature vs. traditional cryogens like liquid nitrogen. Carbon dioxide’s mild temperature results in a softer, shallower freeze, more likely to leave the surrounding skin intact.
How many treatments can be performed per cartridge?
The CryoCorrect PRECISION™ device contains 16g CO2 cartridges which can facilitate 8-12 treatments per cartridge, depending on the size of the lesions treated.
