Which Fitzpatrick Types are appropriate candidates for CryoCorrect Treatment(s)?

This device has been tested on Fitzpatrick Types I – III. For Fitzpatrick Types IV-VI a patch test in an inconspicuous area may needed. Each patient should be individually evaluated by medical personnel via a complete medical consultation to determine if they are appropriate candidates for treatment.

How long does it take to perform a CryoCorrect Treatment?

Each freezing cycle lasts between 5-8 seconds in which the cosmetic lesion is quickly frozen. Typically, two freezing cycles per treatment are recommended.

What can the patient expect after a CryoCorrect Treatment?

When the cosmetic lesion is quickly frozen, the skin will turn a dark color. This dark color may last between 3-5 days before a scab forms. The scab may remain between 2 – 3 weeks after which the scab will slough off and normal healthy skin will appear. In some cases, the healing process can vary between 4-6 weeks.

When should a CryoCorrect Treatment be performed?

The CryoCorrect Treatment is ideal as a stand-alone or be can be used in conjunction with a series of facials, chemical peels, microdermabrasion, or laser treatments.

Why is carbon dioxide (CO2) an ideal form of cryotherapy?

The CryoCorrect PRECISION™ device treats each cosmetic lesion with a precise flow of carbon dioxide (CO2) which has been proven to freeze the skin at a mild temperature vs. traditional cryogens like liquid nitrogen. Carbon dioxide’s mild temperature results in a softer, shallower freeze, more likely to leave the surrounding skin intact.

How many treatments can be performed per cartridge?

The CryoCorrect PRECISION™ device contains 16g CO2 cartridges which can facilitate 8-12 treatments per cartridge, depending on the size of the lesions treated.

Who may operate the CryoCorrect PRECISION™ device?

Can I return the CryoCorrect CO2 cartridges?

Due to DOT shipping restrictions, the CryoCorrect CO2 cartridges must not be shipped at any time. Unused cartridges should be disposed of, and never shipped alone or with the device. CryoCorrect cartridges are aluminum and can be recycled.

What SkinCeuticals products are safe to use after a CryoCorrect PRECISION™ treatment?

Phloretin CF® and Sheer Physical UV Defense SPF 50 have been safety-tested with the CryoCorrect Treatment and are proven to complement the post-treatment recovery process.

Are there other SkinCeuticals products that can be used after a CryoCorrect Treatment?

While the CryoCorrect Treatment has been safety-tested post treatment with Phloretin CF® and Sheer Physical UV Defense SPF 50, physicians can also recommend the use of other SkinCeuticals products intended to soothe and hydrate the skin.
